new blog www.mmocomplex.com is my new blog. I guess no one really cares about massively multiplayer online games, but I'll be reviewing one a week. Hopefully the entries will be fun to read no matter what... thanks! |

nothing interesting
Today was a pretty average day. Not much to blog about. I promise that in the future I will join some kind of wacky cult, then I will have plenty of stuff to share... Current Mood: okay |

dreams
I've been having weird dreams recently where reality changes. I can never remember them because they are pretty impossible to describe. Basically the way you do things completely changes in my dreams. I've never dreamed this one but it is similar to what happens: you can only move your left arm when you see the color green. But that is not enough, you need to think about pudding too. The only thing is that the triggers are way more abstract than colors or foods. These dreams cause a lot of anxiety, since it is so hard to do anything. Always waking up and being in a world where I can do everything I want is a relief. |

rain
I just had to deliver a work order all the way across campus in the pouring rain. It sucked. But at least I remembered my umbrella today ! I guess that is kind of a metaphor for my life right now. Wade through depression but use drugs as an umbrella. You don't stay dry, but you're way way dryer than if you didn't use it! |

lunch
Conversation at lunch every day ends up being about FPS games I have never played. So I just kind of space out. Tables were turned when we got into the Comp Sci/Math Linux lab! The two guys already in there were talking about World of Warcraft. So I joined in their conversation and we ruled the atmosphere for a while. That is a rare occasion, though. Mostly I am pretty quiet. And I guess in the WoW discussion I was pretty quiet too, just louder than in the halo 2/3 comparison discussion of earlier. Oh, I did have some input to a conversation at lunch about why I didn't like 2girls1cup..... Current Mood: okay |

emusic day!!!
Yay! Today my downloads appeared for emusic! I now am above board, paying for all my music downloads. I love that time of month when I get my 30 downloads! I stil and listen and deliberate and make my decisions all month. This month I chose the new albums by starfucker and deerhunter so far, with 7 more downloads left. I am pretty sure I am going to get the first mortiise album, but then what? Some single track ambient albums probably. I still have a lot of Steve Roach left to get... Any suggestiongs are welcome too. I'll at least listen to the snippets! Current Mood: bouncy |

rough day
Second part of my microprocessor architecture lab didn't work. Computer Science test was much harder than I expected. Teacher looked mine over and gave me thumbs up though, so I am only half worried. Can't wait for the weekend so I can just SLEEP. Current Mood: worried |

today's update
Well, I didn't finish King Leopold's Ghost. Class discussion of it comes up in an hour. I'm only on chapter 5. I was going to read a lot today at work, but we ended up working instead. I know, how dare they put me to work when I'm at work! hahaha I guess I can't complain. The test on the book is not until next Thursday, though. So even if i look a fool in class today I still have a chance to redeem myself somewhat. Just have to read read read. I did get my pre-lab done for Microprocessor architecture. I missed the last homework in that class. Have another coming up due monday, but I will probably worry about that tomorrow afternoon after lab. Sorry I don't have anything interesting to write about, just trying to get an entry in once a weekday..... Current Mood: lethargic |

tired
Starting to get a little tired. Information is seeping in slower, but there seems to be more of it. Each morning and afternoon driving is getting a little less bearable. Last Friday I made my lab partner figure out the lab problem because I couldn't brain. I feel more and more like I'm floating through things. I guess the best thing to do is to just keep at it and hope this is just a phase. |

dream
Last night's dream: I was at a pan-Asian restaurant. The only way to find the shopping center where the restaurant was located is to get lost first. I remember I got lost by mistakenly losing track of the reverse and drive on my car. The nationalities on the menu were countries I'd never heard of. One country had desserts that were ice cream bars that looked like blown glass ornaments. My sister shows up and I decide to treat her to dinner. She can't find anything she is willing to try so settles for falafel sandwiches off the under $5 menu. The bread for the sandwich is pressed out of huge pieces of bread using cookie cutters the size of the falafel patties. To make money the restaurant also sells DVD box sets and old computer games. I go through the computer games looking for old infocom text adventures for my friend Tony, but they only have the two he's completed most recently. My sister ends up buying 2 anime DVD box sets. We are anxious to get home to watch them, but also worried that we will never be able to get back to the shopping center of the lost. The end. |

it was a test
I came into the office today for work and my computer doesn't work. It won't power on. I know it was just fine last time I was here. I tried a few things, changing sockets opening the computer to make sure everything was connected. A coworker then suggested I try the cable. So I figure, sure, why not, even though I would personally try resetting the bios first. This works, it turns on. But.... It can't connect to SALISBURY, the network all the computers at school are on. I try switching the cable first this time, but that's not the problem. Next I try the onboard ethernet, as the computer usually uses an add in card. This makes the computer not boot because it wants to do a network boot from the add in card. Lucky I didn't reset the bios! Anyway, what I did was boot off the card, then plug in the onboard to access the local network. Once I log in it turns out the ethernet card was disabled in windows! Clean problems never happen like that, especially two at once. So either this was a test or they put up a computer in my space they were having trouble with. I am leaning towards conspiracy. I'm not mad, though, as troubleshooting is always fun.... Current Mood: nerdy |

Brecenridge Farms
I pass a corn maze on the way home from school every day. shoremaze.com/ I don't know why, but I am fascinated by it. Do people actually pay the $9 to go throught a corn maze? It must do OK since they have permanent supervisory platforms built in the center of the maze. Oh, and a website. I wonder, though, about now, near the end of October when the corn is all withered and getting moldy? I imagine a trip through the maze for me would = 2 claritin and lots of excedrin. I'll have to catch it just as it opens next year. Current Mood: okay |
